HORSEBACKRIDING
Summer 2006
Lessons and Trail Rides available at our local Morgan Horse Farm! Enjoy time at a really neat New Hampshire stable surrounded by beautifully cared for horses and the quintessential small New England Farm. Just a short drive from The Mountain Edge Resort. Our stable owner lives on property and has been in the "business" of horses for over 30 years! She teaches riding, boards & breeds them too! TRAIL RIDES Maximum of 4 Riders per Outing. 2 rides day. For Riders 9 years old or older with at least 10 hours of riding experience under their belt. Stable owner reserves the right to refuse riders who she feels are not ready for this activity. EXPERIENCED RIDERS ONLY You need to know how to walk, trot and canter on your own. If you've been on a horse only a "couple of times" or if it has been a long time since you've been on a horse, you are not skilled enough to participate in this EXPERT LEVEL ACTIVITY. Might we recommend the ONE ON ONE "IN RING" RIDE? $40/hr - per person $60 - 1½ hrs. - per person ONE-ON-ONE LESSON • One Rider ~ One Horse ~ One Instructor Learn to ride under the wise and caring guidance of the stable owner and Lesson Instructor. You'll learn balance and how to ride in the seat. You'll probably start out with a Western Saddle. $45/hr per person (Both activity prices include a riding helmet & instruction.) PONY RIDES You'll be led around the ring by the instructor. This is a great activity for children and allows them some exposure to horses within a safe and supervised activity. Children must wear pants and shoes with a heel. NO OPEN TOED SHOES ALLOWED. Loose fitting pants are best. NO SHORTS ALLOWED. In-ring only. $25.00/per child * 20 minutes. Clothing Requirements: Shoes with some kind of heel. Some sneakers will work. Jeans or pants that are a bit loose. No shorts. No Open shoes. Dress in layers depending on weather. Horsebackriding and being around horses is, by the very nature, a dangerous activity. At the horse farm you will be asked to sign a State of NH waiver that releases the horsefarm of any and all liabilities. 15-20 minutes from The Mountain Edge Resort. |
